Everything turned out beautiful other than me not being able to put it on her finger because she saw it in the box, went a little nutty, snatched it out of the box while yelling yes, and put it on her own finger all in one swift move. I'd say that's a pretty darn good reaction though. And she has been getting comments left and right. This was an incredible purchasing experience and I owe it to all of you there at Good Old Gold.
Matt, the stone is fantastic. The only one who would ever call it a IS2 would have to be a gemologist. Because the inclusions are off center they are impossible to see even with a loupe. And the cut and clarity and all that other stuff really is Excellent. This is a fantastic hearts and arrow and if in the future I can't find an affordable 1ct as perfect as this one then I don't think we'll be upgrading at all. It's a lot to live up to.

Your design idea made that .68ct stone fit perfectly in that setting and it shines brilliantly with the appearance of a much larger stone. I don't think we could've asked for a better ring and design.
All in all, I came to you guys at Good Old Gold with a very strict budget in mind and I swore I would have to cut corners to get the perfect ring. Not only did no corners need to be cut but my expectations were surpassed exponentially and even at a final cost that was below my maximum budget. I am writing you in regards to the ring I received earlier this morning from Good Old Gold. Words cannot express how truly appreciative and satisfied I am with the ring I purchased from Good Old Gold. The ring is gorgeous beyond any expectations I could ever dream of and the whole process & interaction I've had with each of you has been nothing but the perfect experience.
When I decided to start looking for a ring, I dismissed all local jewelers immediately and went to Pricescope for research and to ask for recommendations. If I wanted the the best experience and quality for my money, I knew they could and would recommend someone. Specifically, I was told to speak with Jonathan at GOG to find that diamond I was looking for.
Jonathan has been a dream come true during this whole process starting . His expert knowledge and superior customer service helped guide me through identifying that one diamond my girlfriend fell in love with that you guys carried over a year ago. Jonathan's uncanny patience with my constant barrage of inquiring e-mails truly showed me he had one goal on his mind, to get the diamond I wanted using the resources available to him. After months of correspondence, I received a wonderful e-mail stating that they found a potential rough diamond in which would eventually become the diamond in my ring today. The end result is a custom/modified radiant diamond that is hands down, the best diamond I could have ever hoped to purchase.
When it came to finding the setting for my diamond, Marie at GOG has been nothing but helpful. By giving her an idea of what I was looking for, she did everything she could and even contacted the original manufacturer for the setting in which I was trying to match. In the end, after I chose a similar Timeless Designs setting that GOG carried but Marie took that extra step and offered an option to have them modify it. From there we worked aimlessly with sending multiple e-mails back and forth on the design. In the end, I had a custom designed ring that incorporated everything my girlfriend wanted in a ring with none of the flaws.
Last but not least is Darren. Purchasing an engagement ring is not an easy process for anyone... especially for me considering what I had to go through to get this ring. During this whole process, it was Darren that relieved my blood pressure from the stress of this process. He provided me with that peace of mind that everything was going along smoothly. He promptly sent me notifications of payments, status updates, logistics, and a whole lot more. Without Darren, I would have been lost in this whole 10 month process.
You guys have done everything you could to get me this ring and I can't thank you enough. Other than spreading the word of your place of business via word of mouth, if there is anything I can do for you as a client, such as post a review on a certain website or something else, let me know and I'll gladly do it.
The actual proposal won't happen for a few months but I know she'll be just as happy as I am. Again, thank you so much for everything you do and keep up the excellent work.
Thanks for asking for feedback. I just recently received the two replacement small stones from you folks, after one of the small stones fell out on day #2 of having the ring! I wasn't very happy at the time, and unfortunately Darren mailed out the stones without replying to my email, so I thought I was being ignored, but all is well now - you've definitely gone above and beyond to ship the stones down here, considering I'm a bit far away in Australia.

No picture or word can describe what everyone is talking about, an August Vintage Cushion, until they actually see it. The halo and pave work only add to the beauty and fire of the center stone. Let me first start by saying that this was my first diamond purchase. After watching 100s of Jon's videos on Vimeo, I had the pleasure of working with Sara to find my AVC. Sara was patient and answered all of my questions about the 3 stones that I was considering. I put one of them on hold while I finalized the wire transfer. Two days later, I noticed a new stone showed up in the inventory, which I wanted to switch my deposit to. The GOG team accommodated my request promptly. After the wire transfer was completed, I continued to receive outstanding service; all of my post-purchase questions were answered quickly. The diamond arrived on time and was packaged very securely! The entire experience was AMAZING. Going into this purchase, I was nervous, and anxious, but the GOG team made my diamond purchase experience very memorable and convenient. In hindsight, I know that my purchase was small, considering the many significantly more expensive stones in your inventory, but your team made me feel like a very important customer. I will return to GOG for ALL of my diamond needs.
The stone itself is the most beautiful diamond I have ever seen. I am certain it will blow my girlfriend, AND her friends, away!!! I am waiting until later in the year to propose, but I am very fortunate to have had to foresight that diamond prices would continue to increase.

Let me start by saying, everyone absolutely loves the ring. She could not believe how perfect the setting looks on her hand. The cushion cut looks perfect in the "Perfect Halo" setting, and the pictures DO NOT do the ring justice. In person, the ring looks amazing. On her hand, it looks phenomenal. She gets compliments every day on the ring, and some of her engaged friends are really jealous.
As far as the engagement, here is the condensed version of it: I think I might have mentioned that I was proposing at the end of a half-marathon that we ran together. So, I had to run with the ring in this belt that I bought for 13 miles. You guys sent me a little jewelry bag to hold it in, so I wouldn't have to carry a big box. It was perfect. I invited both of our families and a ton of our friends to come meet us at the finish line so they could witness the event. Everything went great except that I could not remember anything I was going to say because I was totally spent from the race. It really didn't matter since she was so surprised that she really didn't listen to anything I had to say.
It was pretty cool, there were hundreds of people at the finish line, and when everyone realized what was happening, we got a huge applause from the crowd. It was a great day. I attached one photo with us right after the race with her wearing the ring. I will try to find some others when I get home.
