Ok, nothing like starting from the beginning. Just to give you a brief overview of the chapters.

Carat Weight:

In this chapter you are not only going to learn the breakdown of how diamonds are weighed, but you are also going to view and learn about pricing reports and how certain magic numbers in the weight affect its value.

Clarity:

In this part of the site you are going to view under a gemological microscope every clarity grade from Internally Flawless to I-3 and everything in between. NO OTHER SITE ON THE NET WILL SHOW YOU THIS. The more you look at diamonds the more familiar you'll get with em.  Learn to expect what to see when a jeweler tells you you're getting an SI1.   Here on this site you will be viewing what a GIA certified SI1 (and everything else) looks like under the scope. You will also get a chance to examine the very controversial "clarity enhanced diamonds" under a scope as well and learn how to detect them. Thousands of people each year are getting deceived, don't be one of em!

Color:

In this chapter you will be learning how color in diamond is measured and graded using the most traditional methods and also the most technologically advanced methods used in the industry today. You will be viewing everything from fancy color diamonds to the most colorless and how they look side by side. A visual presentation that will certainly "color" your day!

Cut:

If you've done any kind of shopping at all for a diamond, it's most likely you may have been to a few stores that are carrying what seems to be similar qualities, but WOW is there a difference between the prices you've been hearing! Most jewelry stores you walk into and talk about diamonds with mention little or nothing when it comes to the "cut". Most at best only mention the various "shapes". Not only will you get an overview of all the shapes, including the most recent and newest cuts on the market, but you are also going to learn how the quality of the cut of a stone can affect it's value BY UP TO 40%.  There's a lot that jewelers aren't telling their clients the info you'll get here. It's time to blow the lid off of cut and give you, in laymen's terms, an  understanding that will really be an eye-opener for you.

Pricing:

This chapter ties everything you'll learn and see here together, and give you some idea of what you'll be paying for certain qualities. It is crucial that you go through the previous 4 chapters to even begin to understand what I'll be talking about here.

The Appraisal:

Do you get your diamonds appraised by the first so called "appraiser" who's willing to take your money for one???  NOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAY
There are certain questions you want to ask "OVER THE PHONE" before you go and hand $35 - $125 to some "expert" who wants to take your money for an appraisal!   Get smart and learn how to find a competent appraiser.
