Flawless diamonds, abbreviated "FL", have no internal or external imperfections while Internally Flawless diamonds, abbreviated "IF", can have minor external imperfections. Diamonds that are absolutely flawless are so rare that most price reports do not even contain a listing for them; they are generally priced at the IF price. Below are some example photographs we've taken of FL and IF diamonds we've had in our inventory under a gemological microscope 10x-63x magnification. Flawless and Internally Flawless diamonds can be among some of the most boring to look at under the microscope since there's not much of anything to show you  , except for the diamond of course.
